Honors-in-Major
Students are required to maintain an overall 3.2 grade-point average and a 3.2 in major coursework.
Students must successfully complete at least 12 credits of honors coursework in the following courses:
- NR 527H Forest Ecology (4 cr.)
- NR 643H Economics of Forestry (4 cr.)
- NR 602H Natural Resources and Environmental Policy (4 cr.)
- NR 729H Silviculture (4 cr.)
- NR 749H Forest Inventory and Modeling (4 cr.)
These courses will involve additional readings and writing assignments as well as tutorial meetings beyond those required for non-honors sections.
Students must successfully complete:
- NR 799 Honors/Senior Thesis (4 cr.)
A student's thesis will be written under the direction and guidance of a regular member of the department faculty.
